Bhubaneswar, (Odisha connect): The union govt is going to launch Viswakarma Yojana – a specially crafted loan scheme on the eve of Viswakarma Puja 2023. This scheme is for skilled OBC communities with traditional skills. This will help them take loans up to 2 lakhs to carry out their business on an interest rate of only 5% per annum and benefit individuals skilled in traditional craftmanship from the OBC community.
This Viswakarma Yojana financial inclusion scheme will empower weavers, goldsmiths, blacksmiths, laundry workers, barbers, and such families. This scheme will initially begin with an allocation of 13-15 thousand crore rupees, PM Modi said.
Putting more light on the scheme, union Minister Aswini Vaishnav said, this will benefit 30 lakhs craftsmen families of the state.
