Bhubaneswar, (Odisha Connect): Khandapara MLA and Editor of Daily “Sambad” Soumya Ranjan Patnaik is removed from the vice president position of Biju Janata Dal. Party president and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has issued an office order today.
The order says, “Soumya Ranjan Patnaik, Vice-president, Biju Janata Dal is hereby removed from the position with immediate effect”. This One-liner Office order does not cite any cause, so opens political speculations regarding.
This action from the Party President came after 10 days of Publication of a signed editorial in his newspaper. In that piece, he directly criticized the 5T secretary’s visit to different parts of the state, saying the politicians were helpless.
Soumya in his reaction to this order says, I’ve not lost anything by losing the position. But he opened speculations after saying “Politics never ends in a day or by a single order”. This hints that he will not stop at this point but will add several chapters to it.
