Bhubaneswar, August 30: IAS Officers in Odisha are now the target of cybercriminals for malicious purposes. Some IAS officers have expressed dissatisfaction over the usage of their names and photos in social media to mislead users.
Earlier, many journalists were misled by the name and image of Shri VK Pandian, the chief minister’s secretary, on social media. Because of this, officials have also enlisted the assistance of the relevant platform to delete such accounts. Now 2022 batch IAS official deputed in Centre Krishan Kumar, made concerns over a cloned and malicious Instagram profile.
After knowing this, he cautioned visitors on his own Instagram account by posting an image. “Beware, a fake account has been created with the user name “krishan_kumar_09_” posing to be my account,” he said.
He went on to say that this account was intentionally made with bad intentions. Please be aware that I do not own this account, so refrain from interacting with it in any way. Stay secure.
