Aadhar is not a mandatory prerequisite for school enrollment

Bhubaneswar, (Odisha Connect): Since Aadhar will not be required for school admission, headmasters have been ordered not to press parents to obtain it. The agency has also directed schools to collaborate with various offices to secure the same for pupils later.


Awasthy S, commissioner cum secretary of the school and mass education department, has directed all District Education Officers (DEOs) to connect with all headmasters for seamless admission of children in a letter to all education officers of the state. According to the letter, any deviation from such instructions will be thoroughly reviewed.

It is stated that youngsters must be permitted to enrol in schools with or without parents.
